The Bradley Method® is a system of natural labor techniques using abdominal breathing combined with relaxation. It is a simple method of increasing self-awareness, understanding and trusting the natural process of labor and birth. Women are encouraged to trust their bodies and become empowered as active participants in their babies’ births. Couples learn about the physical and emotional stages of labor and how to support the laboring women. In this comprehensive class we cover pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding, postpartum adjustment and newborn care. By the end of the series you will build the knowledge and confidence needed for this challenging, exhilarating, life transforming event.

Class participants will learn about, discuss, explore and practice the following:

  • Abdominal breathing techniques
  • Preparing your birthing space
  • Relaxation exercises & visualizations
  • Options for supportive care providers
  • Positions to promote progress in labor
  • How to navigate the hospital system
  • Massage techniques
  • Natural alternatives to common interventions
  • Natural pain management strategies
  • Variations and unexpected situations
  • Stages of labor and the natural birth process
  • Breastfeeding and baby soothing techniques

Over the course of the series, you will also hear birth stories from other couples who have recently given birth using the Bradley Method. After the last baby is born we have a class reunion where couples have a chance to share stories, reconnect, and show off their beautiful babies.

Course fees $325 includes 8 week course and the Bradley Method workbook

Some insurance policies offer reimbursement for childbirth education. You are welcome to spread payment out over the series. If you would like to barter for goods or services please inquire.
